Deloyd Bennett was born April 28, 1937, in Lovejoy, Illinois to the union of James R. and Ruth (Thompson) Bennett. He journeyed to Omaha, Nebraska in 1956 after his Uncle Enos Jones told him the meat packing plants were hiring and he can make good money here.
