Mary Francis Culberson was born May 9, 1929 to Bertha Lampley and Marvin Culberson in Lousiville, Mississippi. She was the third of five children; her parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Mary attended school in Louisville, Missisippi. She later moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Mary also received numerous Certifications from the Foster Care System.
In December of 1948, Mary married Wesley Evans, who also preceded her in death.
Mary had a special love of caring for children. She enjoyed taking care of her plants, fishing and spending time with her baby brother, Lucian.
Mary was a long standing, devoted member of North Omaha Church of Christ. At one time, she served as a teacher, but really loved working in the kitchen. She enjoyed preparing food for everyone. Mary and her very dear friend also worked in the community; taking food, or other items, to the sick or anyone in need.
Survivors include a brother, Lucian Reed, Omaha, NE, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to her brother, Lucian Reed.
