Aarona M. Berry was born on February 17, 1946, in Omaha. Teaching children was her Ministry. She was the originator and director of the Zionette Children’s Choir of Zion Baptist Church for 35+ years, Director of the New Era State Children’s Rally, director of the Pleasant Green Children’s Choir and Ministry, worked on staff with the Children’s Rally for National Baptist Congress, U.S.A. She was an employee for Omaha Public Schools for many years working with 1st graders.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Robert Berry, III. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Robert L. Berry, IV (Cecilia, fiancée) of Omaha, daughters, Aarice S. Berry and Tanya D. Berry of Houston, TX, 7 granddaughters (Aanais, Aaris, Aaria, Gabriella, Savannah, Annabella, Evalina), a brother, Barry Gorum (Omaha), Brother-in-law, Fernald (Evangeline) Houston, TX, Sister-in-law(s), Favia Butler (Bill) Atlanta GA., Shalonda Wahington-Berry, Cottonport, LA, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
