Alton Tim Rollerson was born to David and Flora Rollerson on October 22,1946 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was baptized at Salem Baptist Church at a young age. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School. In 1970, Alton married Barbara Jean Riley and of that union, his son, Alton Effren Rollerson was born. Alton started his career at Union Pacific Railroad while he was still in high school. He moved to locations across the country as he worked in various roles for both Union Pacific Railroad and Amtrak. He had over thirty years of service at his time of retirement. Up until his final day of passing he continued to ooze his unstoppable energy to family and friends, who were in person or over the phone. Most importantly, Alton continued to give all of praise and focus on God through Christ Jesus. Alton will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Alton was preceded in death by his parents, David and Flora Rollerson; his siblings: Betty Rollerson, Florence Rich, David (Mary) Rollerson, Jr., Bishop Thomas Rollerson, and James Hawthorne (brother-in-law).
Left to cherish Alton’s memory are his son, Alton (Tricia) Rollerson; his siblings: Maurice Hawthorne, Joyce (Edward) McCreary, Rev. Edward (Kathy) Rollerson, Susan Rollerson and sister-in-law Margo Rollerson; his grandchildren: Craig, Hakeem, Azayla, and Malachi (or as Papa would call him Mister); his great-grandchildren: Olivia and C.J.; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance of loving friends and family.
