Cerita L White Gaines

Cerita Lynette Gaines was born in Omaha, Nebraska, December 6, 1958, to John and Cathy White. She is the middle child with 2 sibling, Dianna Finley (Marcus), Waldorf, Maryland, and Vicky Grice (JR) Montgomery, AL. Cerita graduated from Benson High School. She worked a variety of jobs, Bus Driver, CNA, and Secretary. After graduating from high school, Cerita married Gerald Wagner and their union produced two daughters Inice Wagner (Nashville, Tennessee), and Sherrine Wagner (Omaha, Nebraska). She also had two sons from her second marriage to Gregory Gaines: Raymond Gaines and Denzel Gaines both of Omaha, Nebraska. United with Christ at an early age, Pilgram Baptist Church played a major part in Cerita life. She loves to sing and singing in the church choir. She was a devoted member, riding her scooter to church not caring about the danger of riding the scooter. Cerita was a very special person with a passionate for making ceramic plant pots. She would design her pots with one hand, designing them with a variety of happy faces. She also enjoyed spending time in her yard, gardening, and showing off her variety of tomatoes plants. Her favorite past time was to go Walmart. She would go out west because she felt handicap people were treated better. She loved to ride the cart around Walmart, sometime not spending a dime. After having four strokes and dealing with cancer, Cerita never allowed it to quench her spirit of love and life and people she knew. She was a caring person and would give you the shirt off her back. On February 25, 2024, Cerita left her earthly life to reunite with her grandparents and other relatives in heaven. She leaves to cherish her memory are her parents, sisters, children, four grandchildren and host of other family and friends. “Though my time here is consumed, know that my new home is with our Lord and Savior. For surely, I am safe in his arms.”
