Mary Ann (Gill) Horkan

It is with profound sadness that the family of Mary Ann (Gill) Horkan, 79, announce her passing on July 26, 2021 at her home in Omaha, NE. She rejoins her husband Thomas Patrick Horkan, parents Rita & Tony Gill, loyal canine companions Shelby, Maura & Tiaga. She will be lovingly 

remembered by her daughter Patricia “Trishna” Horkan, sister Susan Melone, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mary Ann moved to Omaha from North Arlington, NJ to be with her head over heels in love husband Tom. She swiftly became a passionate Huskers football fan and avid golfer. A Person of faith and lived life serving others as a member of St. Roberts, employee of the Visiting Nurses Association for 25 years, and tireless commitment to volunteering. Mary Ann enjoyed socializing with friends, playing bridge and spending time with her daughter. She was known for embracing all faiths, being A dog lover, recipient of Catholic Woman of the Year, daily attendance at mass, a hole in one ace and LeBron James fan. A wake will be held 4-6 PM on Sat. Aug. 28th at Thomas Funeral Home 3920 N 24th St. Funeral mass at 10:30 on Mon.
