Rose Marie Cloud aka Baby Girl was born September 7, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska to Ethel D Patterson and William T Patrick. Rose was raised with her older sister Beverly Cloud in Grand Island, Nebraska where she graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1958, She also grew up with her 1st cousins from the Lewis & Patterson families.
Rose was employed & retired from Skinner Macaroni and was also employed with the Omaha Public School system. Many of hobbies included Cooking, Shopping, listening to music, the arts and traveling.
Baby girl had a passion /desire to help other people. One such person was a young intern named Al Perkins, who she sponsored & would later become a lawyer that she affectionately called her adopted nephew. Another person close to her heart is her goddaughter Chameilia Kizzee. While baby girl had no biological children of her own, she often lavished her nephews & nieces and others with expensive gifts at Christmas and their birthdays.
Ms Rose M Cloud is survived by her sister Beverly Cloud of Grand Island, nephews Charles & Tim Cloud & family of Grand Island, nieces M Eileen Watson & family of Lincoln and Tina(Johnny)Ronquillo & family of Grand Island. Also included are close cousins Jimmie (Rona) Jackson of Grand Island & Donald (Josette) Jackson of Chicago, close sista friend Janice Philman of Omaha as well as Donita Matthews and a whole host of other cousins & friends.
Rose departed her journey on June 21, 2024 in her sleep at her home. Her final resting place will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery next to her late mother Mrs Ethel Barnum. She was preceded in death by her parents (Ethel Barnum & William Paterick), an uncle-Leroy Patterson (resided in her childhood home), nephews Richard Cloud & Michael Cloud.
