Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved parents, George A. Crumbley, Sr. and Helen Figaro Crumbley; his dear sisters, Barbara Jean Crumbley, Sandra Peterson (Lawrence), and Linda Cecelia Daigre; and his brothers, James Crumbley (Kim) and Elmer Crumbley (Velma). Wayne leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Catherine Ann Crumbley; his children, Wayne Crumbley (Ariane) and Michella Blankman (Thomas); his sisters, Sr. Gayle Lwanga, Judy Gregory (Steven), Catherine Luada DeLeone (Ronald), and Mary Eleanor Crumbley; and his precious grandchildren, Giselle and Ella Crumbley, along with Sofia, Ava, Jahmir, and Brooklyn Blankman, who brought him endless pride and joy. A proud 1965 graduate of Omaha Technical High School, Wayne went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Omaha University in 1970 and later a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He dedicated his life to shaping young minds through his work with Millard Public Schools, teaching at Willa Cather Elementary School and Millard North Middle School, where he was known not only as an educator, but as a mentor who truly cared for his students. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by a host of cousins, lifelong friends, and the countless children and young adults whose lives were touched by his kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment to education. His legacy lives on through the many lives he influenced and the love he poured into his family and community.
